I understood the original post to be about man's response and incomplete understanding of what Scripture meant; not that it wasn't Scripture to start with.

I think I understand where he is coming from. Having studied early church histroy, there were many books and letters written to the churches and many have been lost to time. Paul was writing letters to the early churches of his missionary journeys, the H.G. inspired those letters and preserved them for us today to learn from and to teach the Gentile nations how to live Godly. They are God's word to us today. I believe the bible to be the inspired word of God.
