If you go, the alleged tomb of Christ that is found northeast of Jerusalem, is not the tomb of Christ.
It is unbelievable how peple accept traditions that are blatantly silly in origin. Someone placed am illustration of a skeleton on a map of the region, and wherever the head landed on the map was where he felt God was showing him where the tomb was. I guess it was a play on the "place of the skull" although that was Golgotha where he was crucified. Anyway, the actual tomb is deemed to be in the Armenian section of the city... southwest... and it has been believed to be so since the second century. The northeast tomb is simply a very late comer to the issue.
