My dad was one who boldly claimed and proclaimed what he had seen as revealed in the Word of God. Yet, he did not use it as a tool for exclusion but rather as a light to guide others. He had strong views of mercy. He could only preach those things which he had seen and heard! Preach Truth and let judgment abide in the hands of the only true and righteous judge.

Can you imagine that he gave God the right to be God and to have mercy where he would have mercy. I am afraid that we have lost that attitude!

Although you and I disagree on the when, You are definitely still my brother and I esteem you as such!

My dad held the W & S view also, Phil. However, he evolved in the last few years of his ministry ... and always felt that Trinitarians could be saved too.

During his last years, he would say things like "Accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior, Give your life to Him ... and you're saved" .... "Baptism is a symbolic outward sign" .... "They are covered by grace" ....

I just spoke about this w/ a close friend yesterday ... and we both agreed that our God is too Righteous ... and Merciful .... to cast true believers away.

That made me laugh outloud, Daniel. In the diet world, lite doesn't always mean light in calories...it can mean light in color or whatever, and so it is in being PAJC-lite.

I can only answer you this way...I am a PAJCer who is not willing to denouce the great men and women of my heritage as being "soft on the message," or worse, say that "they never believed the message." I just can't...

Furthermore, I am not willing to throw folks to the curb who believe the same fundamental doctrine as me, yet express it differently.

Can't do it anymore...

I'm realizing there a more PAJC-liters today than ever ... or maybe I just never noticed.

Men like Clyde Haney ... have had an influence on many ... like Dr. Seagraves and the graduates of CLC.

Many of them are PAJC-lite ... a have a handful of friends that are CLC alumni and they are all PAJC-liters too.

They also hold the Seagravian view of justification at repentance and remission at baptism.

So in your view, does my post make me a 'PAJC-liter'?!

Not sure, I don't think the disagreements among them has been around soteriology issues, but other things.
