If you believe God to be the same yesterday, today, and forever why should I give you a specific NT scripture? Well, I believe I've answered your question on another thread, read Gen. 9:6, keep in mind that this was not commanded specifically for the Jews. Also keep in mind that God not only passed the death sentence upon Adam and Eve, but also upon the whole world when He Himself allowed the rain to flood the earth. ( This was due to the violence at that time)
