4.Many times a true conservative will have a roguish sense of humor which endears him to many people. This is the product of his clean conscience and positive outlook on life.
5.Committed to excellence
6.Respectful to ladies, kind to children, generous to the less fortunate
7.Honorable in his dealings
8.Calm in times of adversity because his faith sees him through
9.Often handsome and possessed of great charm (Not sure why this is so often the case; perhaps it is just the favor of God)
That pretty well sums it up.
Thanks, CS.
Now I understand why these folks like CC1 and jTullock keep trying to hang that label on me!

I can give a hearty AMEN to that CS! It would be nice if all were that character and then we could dispense with all the labeling as LAD has stated.
Raven
the labels involving words like liberal, moderate, con, and ultracon do not have to do with the Kingdom of God, they are terms that only have application within the Kingdom of men.
If a person's approach to engaging a discussion is based on advancing or discrediting any category with these kind of labels, they are acknowledging that the stage they are acting upon has been built by men, not God.

As I have stated before on this forum, I don't like labels in the Kingdom of God (the Bible states that "comparing ourselves among ourselves is not wise"...). But considering that I have heard MANY who consider themselves UC call others "liberal", my question is.... "what defines you as an UC? ......
no video?.... no slits?..... no bows?.... no patterned nylons?..... must wear nylons?.... no curls?..... no christmas trees?... or even celebrating Christmas at all?...... no open-toed shoes? no colored dress shirts?.... no rodeos?..... men's hair must parted on the side and shaved up the back?.... no clear fingernail polish? no jean skirt with a front zipper? .... no "dingle-bobs in the hair"? (a message from Canada campmeeting several years back) -----by the way, what is a dingle-bob?....
... and what if someone measures up in most of your UC standards, but not all of them... are they still UC? If you see another church that does something that you preach against, do you call them liberal even if they are conservative in all the other areas? What is the deciding factor?
OPINIONS PLEASE!!
it just blows me away that people even preach against this stuff!!!!!

I enjoy discussing the list of rules that are or were preached
probably because i grew up in that environment so it interest me greatly.
many things that use to preach, even the ultra cons no longer mandate but there are still a few extremist out there who don't allow things that most people cannot fathom.
the latest I'm hearing is against text messaging and video phones
