I agree with Steve on this...from several, extensive conversations with A. T. Morgan, A. W. Buie, Sr. and others, it is clear that Brother Goss didn't hold such a position during his lifetime.
However, having said that, I do believe that these early Pentecostals were so much more tolerance of different views on doctrine, holiness and fellowship than those who have the same opportunity today.
This lack of compassion and understanding can hold the potential for organizational confusion and breakdown. We have probably been seeing this tendency played out in the last few years. The sub-surface tension and, in some case, bitterness, is now reaching the surface and may be ready to erupt.
