I agree with Steve on this...from several, extensive conversations with A. T. Morgan, A. W. Buie, Sr. and others, it is clear that Brother Goss didn't hold such a position during his lifetime.

However, having said that, I do believe that these early Pentecostals were so much more tolerance of different views on doctrine, holiness and fellowship than those who have the same opportunity today.

This lack of compassion and understanding can hold the potential for organizational confusion and breakdown. We have probably been seeing this tendency played out in the last few years. The sub-surface tension and, in some case, bitterness, is now reaching the surface and may be ready to erupt.

Elder, does the book bear his name as the author or hers?!

If Sis. Goss indeed wrote it, was it with his endorsement?!

Although she did indeed write it ... but it was published in 1958. One must believe HG respected her in having her own opinions. However, one has to think if it was written in 1958 ... she did so in consultation w/ HG. This is just after ... HG was "forced" out of office and marginalized by the same Holiness preachers.

Thank you, Elders...I am wondering still if anyone can state with a degree of assurance that Bishop Goss endorsed her opinions or was it written after he passed?!

VOTED out it was an election. Good Grief. He didn't win. In our group we have had elections some won some lost no one was forced out. He was not the sole proprietor of the org. just an official. A. T. Morgan was not a flaming conservative himself.
