I think I know what you mean. However, for technical reasons, I will dispute
that.
The sovereign election of grace took place before the foundation of the world. The fact that my behavior in the 60's and early 70's prove that I never deserved that grace (
for example the incident in Montreux, Switzerland, on the grassy knoll in Dallas, at the park across from the convention center in Chicago and anything that ever occured in Berkeley) notwithstanding, it was an unmerited
and gracious decision made by the free will of a loving and gracious God.
