History channel. The learning Channel. There are many that are informative. Do you all preach against getting the newspaper too? Many have very innocuous commercials. I avoid those commercials just like when I go to a website and not look at the commercials. Or just like I listen to the news on the radio and not listen to the commercials...or read a magazine or whatever.
Everything serves a purpose. But if it's wrong at all, why compromise? You've learned to discern between what content on the Internet you will allow and what you won't. Same can be done with TV
