It's luike the Old testament conquest of kings where they were forced to bow to the king who conquered them in show of victory over them. Did they like to bow and honour their conqueror? I do not think so.

VERY good questions.
Belief in faith is the key. Faith that works. Faith without works is dead. The works that makle faith alive are actions that occur BECAUSE we actually believe. This is what John the baptist meant when he siad the pharisees should show forth fruit meet for repentance. In other words, heartfelt belief due to love occurs and produces actions as a result. The heart does two things. Believes and loves. Satan believes there is one God, but he has not works to make his fath living and saving faith, to use James' extreme example..
