Granted, if he signed a contract or agreement form with the UPC saying he would not advertise on TV then he shouldn't do it but other than that I say it is a great idea.

The ONLY way we are going to find out if this stuff works is for some to just do it!

Would to God that that the pews would be filled with them and that they would think that they are welcome the way they currently are. Sounds an aweful lot like what Jesus would do. After all, He was accused of hanging out with sinners.
This church is to be commended for thinking more about the reaching the lost than the status quo. If people get offended, they need another trip to the altar under the heat of the HG allowing their cold, hardened hearts to become plyable once again and touched by the condition of the lost! IMHO, anyway.
I mean, really.....what a terrible thing that the sick would show up at the hospital!

that's not the point manofword. I believe it's "whosoever will let 'em come"
but where does it stop??
we have a church in my town that has a " NFL Super bowl Sunday". they serve popcorn with streamers and scream and yell for their team but if you went any other sunday and shouted like that they would escort you out.

Then they should get out of the org and go reach the lost.

Cool... that means that almost EVERY single listener needs God.. Excellent planning.

A Church full of bikers hearing the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ represents Pentecost to the hilt.
As does a church full of NASCAR fans and a church full of Country Music fans.

This is quite popular in central Illinois. I don't agree with going against the anti-ads thing, but what is wrong with a biker Sunday?
Sounds pretty cool to me.

Thirty or forty years ago you walked into an Apostolic church and everyone in the pews looked the same...Clones of each other, if you will...
I am so thankful for the day and time that we live in. Our children have changed the 'face' of Apostolicism. Now, when you walk into an Apostolic church- you see diversity, and you really cannot tell, outwardly, who is saint, and who is sinner. THANK GOD.
Nowadays, if you walk into a church where all look 'the part'- then you have undoubtably walked into a church that needs a revival of souls!!!!

I know there are a lot of pastors who are totally against this "type" of ministry and I know of one pastor who wrote a very inflammatory letter to the other pastors in a section telling them "Bro. ______ is leading his church down that dangerous slippery slope to liberalism by having a biker group at their church."
That's just one issue.
The second would be that dreaded advertising on TV. Forbid.
I think some have just lost meaning of reaching one more soul.
