Well, it is one of my all time favorites! My daughter and I still quote lines from it!
"Friend, some of your folding money has come unstowed"
I think every time one of us drops money, that line pops out! LOL!
And just for the record, I am officially on the "jealous" list, it looks like everyone at the "reunion" had a blast!

It was really hard for me to sit through that whole movie! I'm just not really into redneck movies! I watched it, but my eyes were crossed by the time it was over!!
And yes, we had a blast. I just wish I could have stayed longer Friday night!

I can remember preachers in the 70s and 80s preaching on women SHOULD fix their husbands a HOT breakfast - no cold cereal or even pop tarts. They recommended that in order to prove that the woman loved her husband she should get up and prepare a hot breakfast - as biscuits, sausage or bacon, eggs, etc.
I don't think any of them were ever first partakers to fix anyone else a hot breakfast. The women who didn't make their husbands a hot breakfast were made to feel as though they did not care as much about their husbands as the ones who fixed the hot breakfast.
Of course, no one in the pastor's family had to get up early and head to work so all of that kind of "teaching" was rather nauseating. This sounds far-fetched, but I was there when it happened - so I guess I ought to know....lol

May the Lord help us all! How many of the pastor's family are saved today?

One of his four children is not in church...I know the preacher had good intentions but that kind of teaching was very irritating to the women who had to get up and head out the door early for work. Some mornings I got up at 5 am to fix the hot breakfast and then leave my house at 7 am or so. Finally, my husband just said, "Stop it. I know you care."...LOL

Oh well, maybe you do have to have hill-billy blood to enjoy it! I know my daughter says that the "hill people" blood in our heritage sneaks out when you least expect it!
