I agree with that too. my brother teaches a class on standards and classifies it like this: there are bible standards, local church standards, and PERSONAL Standards. bible standards are moral absolutes and prohibitions for all of time and peoples.church and personal standards vary that are principles based on God's word and are applied where needed. not everyone needs to abide by the same ones. most of the time it's needed to protect our own fleshly nature from eventually falling
