milk will raise your blood sugar and keep it up during the night....

my dad used to drink milk and eat graham crackers before bed to keep his from dropping too low

type 2 and gestational diabetics can regulate their sugar almost completley by diet and exercise....If your sugar was over 200 or more all the time, then maybe insulin - but if it's not and its only in the mornings, I'd seriously consider a 2nd opinion

too much insulin is bad for you too...
