For purposes of understanding:

It seems that some place foot washing on a par with communion. Is it valid to do so? Are foot washing and communion requirements with equal gravity?

Next, are either salvific? If I were to refuse to join in with a typical wine and crackers communion service in an Apostilic church, would I be lost? Let's say I just refused because it all smacked of "shamanism" or something. Am I lost?
