Coon, your statement seems to assume that the local church is the ultimate sovereign institution in God's eyes. I disagree.
I believe the
family is the ultimate sovereign institution in God's design. The local church is made of families, the section is made up of local churches, the district is made up of local sections, and the national is made of of districts.
With this view, the analogy that you seem to strongly object to, is absolutely correct.
