No comment to that.

I passed through Salina on the 18th. I was at the 24-7 store, near Russell's Restaurant.

While there, I prayed for you and your family, and your church.

This is an extremely irresponsible statement. The people of God have always looked different? Are Moslems people of God? Are Mormons people of God? Are Mennonites people of God?

What do you mean look different from the world? Like long hair or no makeup? LIke jean skirts and poofs? Because all of the above seem to have the same dress code too as UPCites.

You have absolutely no scripture to back up this statement. And look different how? It's amazing to me that you guys make such ridiculous statements and Jesus never once addressed how a person dressed or the clothes they wore, the length of the hair or facial hair. As a matter of fact, the only ones he chastised were the religious elite pharisees who were dressed "holy" too.

I know preachers who preached against long dresses when they were in style in the 70's because we weren't supposed to follow the world.

Sir, styles change. Today homosexual men have short hair. We are not to be clothed with the styles of the world, we are to be clothed with Christ. Our personal attire should be modest. Many applications women in the modern world find themselves in are more modest with pants. This does not mean they are not people of God.

If you're clothes could save you, you wouldn't need the cross!

No, I don't agree...not with everything.
But even though I see the truth in some of what Coon said, I dont agree with him entirely either.

I guess, unfortunately for me, my former Pastor did go down the slippery slope.. He's still oneness though.. hasn't left that part yet.
I don't think the generalizations fit everyone, and it is true.. there are just as many backslidden PK's of UPC preachers (or any other Oneness, Holiness group) as their are backslidden PK's of those who've left.

The Poof is out, but the push forward and side part are in! GLORY BE TO JESUS!
I love my Jean skirt!

PS. And I don't bob my hair either... I truly believe God desires woman to have their hair long and uncut... but I won't debate it on this forum because there are too many emotions that get involved and I just have no desire for a brawl. I'd just be stepping on toes left and right... that's not my idea of a good time... and I'm here for a good time. Adult conversation in my "Bob the Builder" world.
