Hopefully...of course, I hope I grow about 6 inches taller too. Maybe we can rest assured that the bright lights and loud clanging only last for a season.

Maybe some great posts instead of complaining could help too?

Just thinking outloud.

I don't think you understand what has been said here.

Great posts get shoved around, get torn to shreds, and burn in effigy by the pseudoApsostolic crowd. Why cast pearls before swine?

Who is complaining? Are you calling StMatthew a complainer?

I started posting there just before he died... didn't get to interact with him much, though, wish I could have...

I completely understand what is being said here.

I also know that there are some issues that need attention and I hope that everyone understands we are listening.

However, there are some that only post complaints (not in this thread, but others).

i knew Jim. not very well but we crossed paths several times and we had mutual friends. I wish I had found FCF much sooner. he was a neat guy.

I like to think a little of what Jim was lives on in these forums. I know a lot of what Jim was lives on in the lives he impacted in real life.

Well said.
The PCI folks seem to lie in wait like lions in the bushes, ready to pounce on some fresh meat.

You better cause the following remarks of yours don't settle so well with me.

Fair warning and all. I'll deal with it in a bit.

Well obviously the salvation issue didn't cast a "negative cloud" in the UPC as much as it does on this board, where people are under no "agreement" to keep quiet about their differences.

And frankly, all they did was sweep the issue under the rug. Doctrinally, it was like trying to mix oil and water --eventually there will be a separation; evidently, this is a key reason why there have been so many defections and splinters since the merger.

I think a reasonable argument could be made that the merger might not have been such a good idea in the first place. I'm not sure I would state that to be the case, but I could see how a lot of people (on both sides) might think so.

Fair warning and all.

One of the issues concerning the debate of PCI vs the PA-JC.

We (PCI) do not deny the Baptism of the Holy spirit not do we deny "Baptism in Jesus Name".

We differ on the order of importance.

When is the Blood of the cross applied to santification?

Is it at the finished work of Calvary through Grace by faith.

Or it is at simply complying with a teacher telling you to go through Acts 2:38?

I am not talking about Peter as the teacher.

I am talking about alter workers instructing folks on the art of speaking in tounges.

We quote Acts 2:38 before we share with them who Jesus is!

The new convert or visitor has no clue regarding the message of the "Cross".

I personally believe that is why many Oneness Jesus Name churches baptize many and keep few.

They get the glossed over version of the Gospel.

The PCI side of the merger took a look at the Cross and the finished work of Calvary.

Paul said, for I am determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ and him crucified.

Stop the visitor at the cross and get these new dear souls firmly converted.

Stop giving new converts the answer to the formula before you teach them the basics.

We have churches full of "3 Steppers" that need to visit the cross.

There is more importance put on steps 2 and 3 in Acts with the 3 stepper.

The first step in the 3 stepper march, is repentance....

It all starts with repentance.

It is overlooked.

I rarely heard a sermon on repentance in the 40 plus year I was part of the UPCI.

The message at each conference was Baptism in JN and the HG.

3 Steppers walk your new converts through the importance of step one.

It's not your 3 steps I have a problem with...

It's the giant step around the Cross that bothers me.....

Apostolic means to teach those standing at the foot of the Cross what it means.....

My Baptism and Holy Ghost experience has no less salvation attached to it then yours....
