I know that I have talked with JS about this very thread and this accusation concerning him "Trying to start a church is Dallas". He told me point blank on Friday that he did not try to start a church in Dallas so those saying this must be mistaken. So who is calling who a liar.
Second, LAG and AG both began to buffoon my friendship with JS...after I defended him against the attack on his character concerning his moves in ministry. They were in fact being critical of him...and it was in that spirit that the Dallas "church plant" was brought up...that is the mis-information I am referring to.
Let me explain: They are criticizing him by questioning his stability by bringing up several of his ministry locations:
"He was in Deridder...he was in bossier---He was in Bogalusa...and what about the multiple missions places...and on top of all that, He TRIED to start a church in Dallas, ALL THIS SINCE 1994"
This attack has been ignored--but not by me because this is the same thing every JS enemy has and is using against him. If I have a beef with anyone it was that right there. JS has followed the plan of God for his life. He has been more of an Apostle than this movement has seen in years. What people don't know is that most of his moves have taken place with the people understanding from the start that he was interim...his national and international ministry was never forsaken.
Besides, God blessed those people abundantly--and there was significant growth and prosperity--while JS was there.
Here's the deal, JS's ministry has been mostly as an Evangelist/Apostle. In the 21 years of our friendship he has only been at 3 churches to pastor...2 knew going in that he was a temporary placement...the other was Bogalusa (which was probably surprised by his leaving--but it was God's will for him to do so).
The missions appointments were just that...missions appointments. JS never has felt that he would be a lifer on the missions field...just temporary appointments and trips...but he loves those people in third world countries and is thankful for the opportunities presented to minister there.
But JS does feel the Pastor mantle resting upon him and is ready for the task at hand! I can actually see him going to Shreveport for life...and that is why he has taken an enormous time to pray and fast about it. Even after the church ratified him 100%...JS still took 6 weeks to give a final answer...which was not what was being reported here.
Bottom line, I am not the only one that felt JS was attacked by the words concerning his moves...and I am not the only one very close to him that has stood firm on the fact that JS DID NOT try to start a church in Dallas--he told ME so again on Friday.

I told JS what was said on this forum concerning Dallas...and he said he did not try to start a church there...maybe he did float the possibility like, "Hey, I might even start a church in dallas..." He was looking at options for sure...but he told me friday that dallas was never really on the radar for his life.
The problem I have with the way this was presented was that he was being questioned about multiple moves...and LAG said, "He even TRIED to start a church in Dallas...all this since 1994"...questining his stability.
This is the same attack that has come against JS in a heavy way this past year by people who are out to destroy him...of course I would know that....and of course I will defend him against it.

i never attacked his character. he did NOT start a church in dallas. we get that. But he had plans to! DO you understand what i am saying....he didi have plans to. I heard him say that!!! he was telling us ALL ABOUT IT! My bad on not following the mans life to see if he actually did start the work, but i know he was planning on it, or at least he said he was. it seems funny you are upset about just the dallas issue. the facts are: he does move around alot. take dallas out of all the moves...he still moves around alot. does that make him a bad person? i dont think i have EVER said it did!

I have had several pm's and emails about what was said concerning this and I am not the only one who feels this was an attack against the character of JS..
With that said, perhaps you blindly walked into the frey...it is just there has been a violent attack against this man and the line you guys were taking about him moving around is the very thing they are using to try and destroy him.
You have no idea how bad this has been for him. So when I saw the thread going that direction...I went at it. If you got caught in it unaware, the I hope this helps you understand my defense. I have no ill will towards you for sure.

Also, someone from Austin is trying to start a church in Dallas. (Richardson actually) but it aint Suber, it is Ricky Poe.

T1, was it an attack, or confusion? Did he try to help the Promise Land work in Grapevine that seems to have not succeeded? was there talk of his either taking that or trying to help it?
As I already stated, RP has started a work in Richardson. Clearly there has been a lot of talk about Promise Land reaching out in the City of Dallas and the surrounding Burbs. Was he involved in those talks?
If so, could it just be confusion about his roll in that? Does it have to be an attack?
(I say this without having seen any of the posts you are mentioning. and I have great respect for JS.)
