It was a Tax evasion case for which he was exonorated and all properties confiscated was returned to him WITH AN APOLOGY from the IRS. It is said that the IRS never apologies to anyone. So yes, it was in a federal institution.
It was said that the struck man was hit by lightening as it was seen on surveillance cameras. However, there was not a cloud in the sky at the time.
But, if you were see a miracle would you believe God? No. Those who depend on miracles to believe God, never really come to believe him...only to just remain curious. Faith is based on the Word and not on some sensation.
