I said, IF.
Have you been born again of the water and the Spirit, acharris?
BTW, I was paraphrasing Jesus words from John 3:5
Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

Yes, I most definitely have. But, probably not by your interpretation of what born of water and spirit means.

What do you think is my definition of being born again?
And do you think I'm arrogant for saying what Jesus says is a MUST to enter the kingdom of God?
It is clear that Jesus is exclusive in his statement.

I am not with the UPC or any other group. How can we be brothers? You don't have the same name applied as I do.
If one is not baptised in Jesus name and filled with the HG he or she will not enter no matter how much they speak in tongues.

I think that is more opinion than experience. been upc all my life....both churches are some of the most caring and loving people I have ever known. Would do anything for anyone. I have even seen some of them get burned because they were supporting a fraud out the kindness of their hearts.
To lump all UPC into your little catagory reeks of bias.

HUH?!?!?! If they speak in other tongues as the Spirit gives the utterance then how exactly are they not filled with the HG.?!?!?

Just recently a pastor here was telling about their church webpage he was setting up.... Their church has a name that's pretty common for church names and there weren't any web domains available that were very close to the name as is, so the web design guy or whatever, suggested "theapostolicsofbloomington" as a name, but the pastor told him, whatever you do, don't make it THE apostolics of Bloomington, because we're not THE only ones. They did use apostolics of Bloomington for the web domain, but not THE.
I thought of this thread when he was telling about that.

Amazing what three little letters can to do change a whole thought concept.

If you will re-read my post you will see I never said what you are implying. There are thousands of people that God fills with the HG but stay in their false doctrine. The HG does them no good if they refuse to let it lead them into all truth.

EXPERIENCE is exactly the word. Wish it weren't.
I was saved in a UPC church 10 years ago. Have remained in attendance to this day... but have to admit, am LOOKING elsewhere.
I wanted nothing more than to be accepted and to be loved in MY CHURCH. I wanted to belong. But after 10 years in UPC, that hasn't happened . . . because I don't LINE UP with their (UPCs) interpretation of holiness. Can't seem to sell out to that which I don't believe.
So yes, rejection by UPC has been my experience (not opinion).
