Michigan...the campground was in Hillsdale.

When I first went to camp, Vicki Jordan was dating Joe Carpenter and Marcia Starr was dating Marty Ballestero...I know, I'm ancient!!

I only know Priscilla and Sarah Starr; the others are a bit older than me. I think one of them was Alexis, but I don't know her.

When I went to the Illinois District Campgrounds, it was always called "Holy Ghost Class". Believe it or not my wife received the Holy Ghost in that class. They were supposed to have a street meeting but cancelled it and had what they called "Holy Ghost Class". That was back in 1975. Now for the record, she was not my wife then. I was only 12.

1975 was just about the last year that I went to IL youth camp! I have so many good memories of camp there and also in Murphysboro. One year we were at a camp outside of Flora, I think, when they were building the new campground. I must have been about 12 then.

I remember when my husband (wasn't even dating him then) was baptized along with 2 other guys in the pond behind our Pastor's house. It was midnight and we all sang "Shall We Gather At The River". But, didn't we all "back then?"
