Being "Jewish" is not a cultural thing, unless you realize that their culture was OLD COVENANT life. Since there has been a change of covenants, I would say God no longer wills these things in their lives.

BTW I never said being Jewish is a cultural thing. I said the LAW and it's practices and customs are a part of THEIR culture. That is a huge distinction. Roman Catholicism has become part of a lot of Hispanic culture too

I didn't say an atheist can call themselves a Jew. I said a Jewish Atheist calls themselves still Jews....

After Solomon died, Rehoboam caused the tribes to split, 2 and 10, because he

These two tribes were known as Judah. They were known as Jews by religion.
They were born Hebrews. There were no Jews until Judea. Judah, the son of Jacob
was only ONE of his sons. Although Jesus came from the tribe of Judah, God is NO
RESPECTOR of persons. He broke down the middle wall of partition between the
divided sons of Isreal (Jacob). In Him (Christ) there is no difference in jew or gentile.
We are all one in Him.

This is a nutshell version of what I understand !

I was listening to a talk show and the host asked a Jew what it took to become a Jew and he said that all you had to do was deny Christ. Just like the Jews that crucified Jesus... huh....

There is some resentment within Judaism about the conversions being done by "missionaries." In fact for some the word "missionaries" is a pejorative. With this in mind, you may see or hear some things said in a rather snarky tone at times.

There's a Jewish neighbor boy in the family room right now playing on his DS with my Apostolic son and his DS. Their laughter fills the whole 1st floor of the house.

I see that some of you here seem to have an affinity for the Law, the Sabbath, etc.

Well lets just simplify things for a minute by posing a simple question.

If an observant Jew walks into an Apostolic church one day, gets baptized in Jesus name, filled with the Holy Ghost etc. ... and now as a new Christian decides not to observe the sabbath any more, and not to have his newborn son circumcised -- is he wrong?
