You need to read just a tad further down the page, friend.
Gen 18:20 And the LORD said, Because the cry of Sodom and Gomorrah is great, and because their sin is very grievous;
Gen 18:21 I will go down now, and see whether they have done altogether according to the cry of it, which is come unto me; and if not, I will know.
Gen 18:22 And
the men turned their faces from thence, and went toward Sodom: but Abraham stood yet before the LORD.
How many angels showed up at Sodom to drag Lot and his family out of town?
Two.
How many beings stood before Abraham originally?
Three.
Two left and headed for Sodom, and Abraham still stood before the LORD.
This is a matter of simple arithmetic. It doesn't even require much theology or hermeneutics.
3-2=1
The Lord appearedin a theophany with two angels.
The angels moseyed on down to Sodom to drag Lot, his wife, and two daughters out of town so they wouldn't get their goose cooked with the homos, and the LORD in theophany stuck around to visit with Abraham for a while longer.
As our good Brother Epley would say, who has already been referenced here, "No soap."
