Now I wait for someone to ask if I feel the same in wearing a bikini or some other nonsense.

That's Great!!!

The meaning I read said "to cut or to shave". I don't want to debate it - I am not condemning (sp?) you by no means!!

Can I ask, why do people think that Paul was speaking against gold, hair, and costly array, as well as the putting on of apparel (which, for some reason, never gets preached, even though it's in the same verse)? Paul never preached against those things, he just said we shouldn't be known for those things. I completely agree!

More rules why? You won't find those rules in the Bible, but we preach them as if they are.

You asked, I answered.....LOL!

And I feel no condemnation by you or anyone else here, so don't worry about that.

I used to also believe that because I was looking up the English word as it's written, but found out that it's better to go back to the original word and get the true meaning. I use a Strong's lexicon for that, and I've learned a lot!

Oh, I know! I just didn't want you to think I was trying to argue with you or anything - sometimes it is hard to tell on these forums!

Shorn is past tense of Shear

Shear - keivrw a primary verb
Transliterated Word TDNT Entry
Keiro None
Phonetic Spelling Parts of Speech
ki'-ro Verb

Definition
to sheer: a sheep to get or let be shorn of shearing or cutting short the hair of the head

Try using the Greek Lexicon instead of an English dictionary.
