LOL! Amen!
I think part of it is that all the conservatives haven't left...just the ones we're most familiar with. We have new people signing up every day.

I'm still here CC. If I must bear the conservative burden alone, I'll do what I must.......
But the Lord has spoken to me and said that there are yet 6,000 who have not bowed their knee to Baal............................

Did I miss a big blow up or something in particular that caused this to happen?
Or are all of the conservatives and ultra cons just talking to each other at CAF and other conservative forums?
I really miss the great balance we had on here and the interesting interactions.

My personal opinion is they did not want the balance. While they can claim this board is liberal or moderate, the only thing that makes it liberal is the lack of conservatives and vice versa.

- That Jesus name baptism is the only biblical mode of water baptism.
- That the Holy Ghost is for today and is received by faith with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues.

Epley and Coon are the only ones that i can think of that post anymore and it's rare. Coon and IAM left and started another forum for preachers only. many preachers here feel like the ministry is being torn apart and disrespected.
I have no idea why Steadfast isn't posting anymore but he is on IAMs forum.
The conservatives believe that there are people here out to destroy the Apostolic message.
|
And they are not up to defending it? It was always from the beginning known we have people here that believe in Acts 2:38 but that salvation comes before baptism at faith/repentance and those that believe all three precede salvation. Same with standards. We all knew that going in. Some posters like Mizpeh and Ferd did a good job arguing for their views while others chose to get mad and leave.

Sherri and anyone else who cares to know the truth......There is a new forum up and running. It is for just preachers.....it was started to give the ministry a place to post without those outside the ministry (no slam at all just a different dynamic) AFF already fills the need of ministry and those outside the ministry posting together.....There is WordShare which is UPCI only (no slam just a different dynamic)...it was not started by a couple of AFFers who had left, it was started by me, everything was in place and it was ready for people to sign up and I called Coon and informed him of it and ask him to go and see if he could sign up if he wanted to, he did.
Justpreachers was not started to compete with anyone, it was started because I thought it might be good to have a forum for ministers only but not limit the scope to just UPCI....so far it has been good, it may crash tomorrow, but as of tonight it is good.
I read later on in this thread that Mark has the "real" scoop......but in reality I have just given the real scoop.....actually not a scoop, just reality.......
God bless each of you.......

Re: Where Have All Of The Conservatives Gone?
I think it's a great idea! Kevin Shindoll the Admin. and is now in the process of cleaning out the old membership and making sure that the Ministers give their real name and UPC Lisc. info. If anyone knows Kevin Shindoll they know he is a man of good character. He was our Assit. Pastor here at North Cities until The Baxters decided resign their church and now he Pastors in Indiana. He will do a good job. Right now you can view the entire member list but other than that it's closed.

Very true. Clearly, many of them have ratcheted-down their intensity since you-know-who left, but a few of them still lurk in the shadows, so to speak.

"Defending it"? Praxeas. Please. Just listen to how that sounds!
Why should they have to "defend" the apostolic message on an apostolic forum?
I don't blame anyone at all who felt like leaving. Most of us come to an apostolic forum for edification and fellowship, not for continual head-butting, nor to "defend" the apostolic message from the attacks of ex-apostolics and anti-apostolics. That gets real old after a while.

Re: Where Have All Of The Conservatives Gone?
I'd say that the justpreachers forum is pretty conservative.
If you are a "liberal" Apostolic preacher you need to be careful what you post over there.
I learned my lesson
