Thee IS something happening and you don't agree with it. Such is life. You have every right to do what you will with your time regarding this board.
Matt, let me state, for the record, that I did NOT get all upset about the statement of faith. I was very, very clear in stating that I was not an owner and did not put a penny into the operation budget. Therefore I did not feel like it was right for me to try put forth my opinion when the majority of the owners saw it differently. I left because I did not want to cause division. That is what I stated very clearly and others will verify that is what I said. I stated then that the diversity of viewpoints, as polarized as they were, was incapable of co-existing. What just happened proved I was correct in my assumption. I did NOT do anything behind the scenes to weaken the leadership nor did I try to gain control in any way. I told you what I thought would have to happen for the board to succeed and apparently, I was right. I am certainly not trying to tout the fact that I was right, but you brought this up, not me and I wouldn't. I did not tear this board down and was extremely cautious in anything I said.
Did I agree with what was going on? No. But I did not act like some disgruntled saint and run around trying to vindicate myself with emails and phone calls. I did not start a whiny good-by cruel world you're all going to hell in a hand-basket thread either. I know I was criticized behind the scenes. That does not bother me in the least. That is just a part of leadership and I have accepted for 25+ years.
This board does NOT need me to succeed. I am happy to be here by invitation. I didn't bust the party, I was invited to attend. I wasn't chomping at the bit to get back and NONE of your phones rang with me trying to get any of you to do anything. Please remember that.
If I needed a leadership position on this board to validate myself, then I would be one SORRY minister of the gospel. I am happy to serve but I don't need it to make me feel good. I am not accusing anyone of that either. I am only stating that it is not my reason for being here.
