And I am finally somewhat caught up at work after leaving early last thursday and friday. (I am blessed to have understanding bosses who take one look at me when I am sick and say "do what you need to do and go home!" )
Today I went and did something I have been wanting to do for awhile, I got a haircut. My hair was still so damanged after that perm I got 3 1/2 years ago. I babied it for 3 years, triming only an inch a couple times a year, and though the top part was in excellent shape, there was not much I could do for the ends.
So I followed the two-week rule of hair. Anytime you want to do anything drastic to your hair, you wait at least 2 weeks. If its something that you still want to do, then go ahead (lots of times, we are just having a bad hair day). And in my case, I actually waited closer to 2 months.
It was a hard decision because I LOVE long hair, and I really didn't want to lose the length, but on the other hand, it looked so awful and kept breaking off, no matter what I did. So I went in with a plan. I told her I wanted 3 inches off, knowing that I didn't want more than 5 inches. I thought a nice 2 inch cushion would be sufficient. When I got back to work and looked at it, I figured that she must have cut closer to 7 inches
After I got over my initial shock, I have to say that it looks good, and it got rid of the remaining damage. To most non-apostolic people it would still seem long, (half way down my back), but to me it seems really short!
I guess I have joined the ranks of bobbed-hair women. I need to go ask Bro. Epley if I should stop praying now
ETA - LaCarey! That's awesome about your house selling! You better get crackin' on the packin'!!

We won't be moving far. Just out of this house. Not sure if I want to. It has nine rooms and an acre of land. Plenty of room for company and parties.
We usually are in the same frame of mind, so I'm not too worried.
Hope all the other ladies and our gentleman Ron have been doing well also. I'm not really busy this week and so I'm spending more time than usual.
Guess I could post some shoes to annoy BOOM. Now, that would be fun.

Hello Ladies!!!!! I was out yesterday, as you know me and my daughter have both had nasty colds and yesterday my daughter woke up with a fever also, so I decided to keep her home in hopes that she may be able to overcome this cold and it did seem to help, don't know if it was just the timing, the fact that I pumped her full of meds and MADE her get some sleep or if it was just mommy's TLC! But today she seemed much much better!!!
I also went to my doctor yesterday for my weekly checkup and they are indeed inducing me around the 8th - since that is a Sunday it will be either the week before or I think the monday after I am hoping that at my next weeks checkup we can go ahead and set the exact date. So,.....ONLY 3 MORE WEEKS!!! WOOHOO!!!!!!!! I am sooo happy, they did up my insulin intake though, oh well, I am almost done now. I kinda like the idea of setting up a time to induce me cause then you KNOW when it is gonna happen and your not sitting around waiting and waiting knowing it can be anytime anywhere.

Hello Ladies (and ron)
When I signed on today, the screen popped up telling what the top ten threads have been lately. I noticed that Gabby's was NOT among them. Too bad. Those others just don't know what they're missing, eh?
Carey, congrats on selling your house. Once you get moved and settled in Chicago, all of us in this general area should pick out a central location and meet together one day. All the Indiana, Ohio, Illinois, Michigan people. We could get together in someplace like central northern Indiana maybe??
STS, are you really Carey's mom??? Did I miss something here??? Sometimes it takes me a loooooooong time to catch on
PO, I love the idea of the circular sander. Thanks for sharing that!! We've got some major outside painting to do this summer. I hate scraping more than anything. Think I'll give it a shot and see how it works.
Mich, I'm sure your hair looks as cute as can be. I support you in your decision to have it done. Got any pictures? We'd love to see it.
QE, still praying for that little bundle of joy. And for you and the diabetes situation.
Well, guess I'll go read some other stuff on here. I'm burning a DVD while I'm sitting here and it makes everything on this computer work slower But it just got finished so thing will work faster now. Hooray!!
