I do believe that God can speak through tongues and interpretations and through holy ghost inspired sermons. I just doubt people hearing the voice of God though a thought or feeling.

I know of an Elder who recently passed away last fall & he prayed hours a day.
There were many times he could be heard in the room praying & it would seem like he was having a two way conversation!
God does speak & if you spend time with him you will learn to discern his voice.

I'm kinda puzzled by what caused Dedicated Mind to start this thread.
God spoke to people in the Old and New Testaments (Adam, Noah, Abraham, David, Hezekiah, Paul, Ananias... to name just a few).
Why would anyone in the church today think that God has stopped speaking to his people? From what I can see, there's
no biblical basis for thinking that.
So, what's this all about, DM? Talk to us about the impetus behind this thread.
