It's hard being politically correct when it's your child!

Re: Gays, family ties and opening up....
I think it would be better for the two bi guys to separate themselves, maybe even find separate churches. But they need to separate themselves so that they can allow themselves to be healed by God and to form healthy, man-to-man friendships, without the other being there to fall back on. The last place they should attend is one of those ultracon churches where satan can sneek in using some saint's good intentions and bi guy's need for close relationships.

Re: Gays, family ties and opening up....
I have seen lots of sad situations in my ministry...I feel for many parents that their children brought them shame yet I was shocked when one pastor told his daughter to leave his church and go to hell from someone else´s church...

This shocked me! (Which I actually took as a good sign, because it means I am not as completely hardened and cynical as I thought!)

Our Catholic Priest told my mother that when she said she felt she wanted to leave the Catholic Church. She said, "Well, now I know I"m making the right decision to leave." lol

Sure, but I was startled at how QUICK I turned on him when my son told me he said he was "beautiful" - total dark cloud of anger!
