I say this because, I think there is a really interesting component of our human condition that emerges when we soberly discuss accountability.
Mich,
Is subjecting yourself to accountability processes equivalent to deploying a fear tactic?
I submit that John 3:19 is direct witness of man's condition and the difficultly of welcoming accountability as a GOOD thing.
And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
Accountability is a mechanism by which a LIGHT is introduced that illuminates our choices.
No accountability is a condition whereby our choices remain in darkness.
IMO, accountability MUST be a voluntary subjection of ourselves to another.
But, is there a coherent argument AGAINST purposely establishing systems of accountability?

I think that IS the main point here. And the coherent argument is--this isn't (according to the reporting post) voluntary, so this isn't a "system of accountability", but a system of mandatory surveillance.
Kind of like a wife submitting to her husband must be voluntary--otherwise she is subservient--not submissive.
