This is what the Jews did and the reason why they crucified Him.

You sure have a problem inserting your own take on what Scripture plainly says. Jesus was the New Priest who brought a NEW law.

So did God lie when he inspired John to write that Jesus broke the law, or was he lying in the second part of the clause that he made Himself equal with God?

My brother he broke the Sabbath. that is NOT mens rules and preceptions.

Honor the Sabbath and keep it holy is one of the big ones....

Jesus was God manifest in the flesh, and well within His rights as God to make any changes He deemed necessary. Undoing the ease with which they were getting divorced is a good example.

OMG! I just assumed. He must have married a teenager! He was something to say the least.

If that is his wife then I have to put him the same class as Prophet Stair from SC. He married a barely legal girl.

Ferd you have to understand the relationship of WHO Jesus was. He was the Word/Mind/Character/Nature of God revealed in flesh. The MC reflected God's mind and character for his people to emulate. Thus is why instead on sheets of paper or stone the Law would be written on the heart. SO that we could follow the Spirit of the Law better. Thus we have the heart of flesh(Christ) in us and the stony heart taken out(hard copy). Se 613 commandments though many could not deal with every type of situation that came our way thus the "elders" created the oral law to supplement the written. This in part is understandable but they failed by going by human wisdom instead of consulting God thus brought burdens on the people.

Christ was the perfected law/Word of God made known or realized. SEe him speaking in us through his Spirit would not allow us to walk as HE walked. The mind of God revealed daily in our lives. It was better than human flesh trying to obtain perfection of following after God's law. Now we have the Spirit leading us as without faith(following and accepting leading of the Spirit) no man can please God. Faith is the postive response to God's Word made known to you. Thus to accept the Word is to accept Christ who is the mind/law of God revealed. Thus you walk as he walked fullfilling and making known more perfectly and filling up the law of GOd in your life. As the Carnal mind is at enmity with God and cannot submit to God's laws. Those that are led by the Spirit though through faith will fullfill the rightouess requirements of the Law. Do nullify the law by this faith? No, we establish the law! How by the leading of the Spirit of Christ!
