If your response was a veiled ref to abortion, then as a Christian, the only way I could rationalize abortion is to save the life of the mother.

If I have to choose betwwen my wife and some brat that I really don't know yet, I'll choose my wife every time.
You misunderstood my post.

I was asking about killing in a revolt or overthrow of a government.

If your response was "it depends on why the revolt is done" then I ask if a country killing a million babies a year is a good reason to overthrow... or is it just the high taxes on the tea and taxation without representation that qualifies...

OH, FYI there are many many Medical Dostors who say there is NEVER a time when you must choose between a mother and her unborn baby... there are only levels of risk.

Re: Jobs people should not be allowed to do?

Well I would not entertain the thought of doing anything too risky when it comes to life. If I was to take a life, I'd rather do so intentionally.

SO if it's too risky, the amalgamation goes-- not my wife.

I can not take part in any discussion that could possibly be construed where I would participate in or even advocate the violent overthrow of our country for any reason.

I am against abortion, but I don't believe it is necessary for the government to outlaw the practice.

Legislated morality is not morality, it's merely obeying the law.

But again, as a Christian, the Lord will lead you away from being an abortion doctor.

Why would overthrowing the government over abortion even be a consideration in the first place? The US government isn't forcing anyone to have abortions, like they do in China.

If the "brat" is full term do you still consider it an amalgamation? And if so, why is your wife's life of more value in God's eyes?

I did not say it should be considered.

My concern was not so much for those that live through an abortion but those that die. Innocent people dieing is a big deal, and yes death is forced on the babies, by the mother/father, doctor and a government that does not punish the evil deed.

In regards to killing you said " in the context and only in the context of war can I really rationalize all of this."

I am asking about the American Revolutionary War and whether it was good rationalization for killing.

Just sorting out what folks deem to be a worthy cause... oil, tax on tea, taxation without representation, etc...

Abortion is sin, and the unborn should be given the same rights as other children.

Innocent people dying is a big deal, but it is also a part of life, sometimes.

Life isn't always fair. Life isn't always just.

Life isn't always black and white.

If I have to choose between the life of an unborn child or the life of my wife, I will always choose my wife. If that means that an abortion is the way to go, then so be it.

Abortion is not always evil. Allowing my wife to suffer and/or die for my selfish desire to have a kid is more evil than abortion. I could dress it up in the garb of righteousness of "protecting life". But if I am really concerned about protecting life, I wouldn't put my wife's life in jeopardy.

Letting my wife suffer or even die over bringing some kid into the world--- man if it got to be that serious, we'd just adopt.

I am to love my wife as Christ loves the Church. If I do this, then my children will do well to see an example of how God wants a family to be.

In pursuing this godliness, I make the stand to love my wife more than anything or anyone else, EXCEPT GOD.

That means, that if the unborn child, amalgamation of seed and egg-- that brat, was to threaten the life of my wife, by God my allegiance is with my wife first.

That near full-term child, of course I'd try to do what we could within reason, to save it's life. But my wife's life is more important and I believe I am in the will of God to think so.

I hope no one reading this thread has gone through this or will go through this. I hope I never go through this. But if I do, I choose my wife over that bundle of dna material.

Again, there are a good percentage of doctors that do not believe there ever is such a decision to be made.

We are ALL nothing more than DNA mass.

Personally, I could not make the choice to throw Grandpa overboard because he is in a wheelchair and percieved to be of lessor value than Grandma.

They do have the same rights as other children. In many circumstances, if a pregnant woman is murdered, the murderer is charged with 2 murders.

It's immoral, illegal and murder to kill a child that has been born.

It is NOT immoral, NOT illegal, and NOT murder to save my wife's life.

This is why abortion should remain a legal option. Unfortunately, too many people are immoral with their use of abortions-- God will judge the murderers.

The murderers are the people who casually terminate the life of a human.
