I totally agree, once again, the voice of reason has spoken. Hopefully there will be those who heed.....

You cite Psalm 101:3 as the foundational scripture that lays down that principle: "I will set no wicked thing before mine eyes"
But if you say that Psalm 101:3 means no TV watching, someone can use the same argument and same scripture against the Internet, and claim "the principle is there" since in their view, the internet contains wickedness, just like TV ( or even more so than TV).
But many of the same arguments you might personally use to say using the Internet is not [necessarily] sinful, are some of the same arguments someone else could use to say that watching TV is not [necessarily] sinful.
Keep in mind, brother , that there are always going to be Apostolics who are more hardcore conservative than you are, and who can always find something you do and tell you its a sin. When they cant find specific scripture for it, they can quote a bible verse to "prove" to you that "the principle is there".
The fact is, we can always find a scripture that shows that [insert personal conviction here] is wrong, and that [insert scripture here] clearly shows in principle that doing so-and-so is wrong. In fact, as you may already know, there are preachers this very day who preach/teach that using the Internet for non-business use is a sin!
You see brother, every one of us has someone to the right of us who can look at our life and tell us we're too liberal for them, that we're semi-backslidden, compromisers, etc.
So maybe its better to leave some things between the individual and God, and not be judgmental about certain things. God does allow for personal conviction on some matters. Paul expounds on this principle very clearly in 1 Cor 8. You may wish to go back and take a look at that and see what Paul was saying there.
I leave you with Romans 14:4 Who art thou that judgest another man's servant? to his own master he standeth or falleth. Yea, he shall be holden up: for God is able to make him stand.
Peace to you.

As to your other comment: Don't you believe that people who do not Repent of their sins, Receive the Holy Ghost or are baptized in Jesus name, are going to hell? I don't believe they will be saved. I also read scripture that says ...without holiness, not man shall see the lord... Where are those that do no practice holiness headed? There is no purgatory.

The problem is that perhaps your definition of what is "holiness", is flawed. The topics you have discussed in this thread have nothing to do with holiness.
As far as scriptural guidelines for salvation and living Christ like, if it is in the Book, I believe it. If it is your interpretation of what is in the Book, well, I am very careful in who I listen to when it comes to those things.
Too many men have an exalted opinion of their role in the Kingdom, and feel that they can add freely to the Word of God. I follow the Word of God, and my pastor, as he follows God in all wisdom.

*sigh*...
Yes, that is exactly what I was saying...
Don't bother to read the entire question or paragraph to get the context of the question...
Go ahead, just jump on and isolate one part of a question, and make a dramatic gesture out of it...
Feel better now?
I'm out of this, a complete waste of time to feel like you can have a intelligent conversation, I should have known better.

Trying to get straight answers from NITW is like trying to nail jello to the wall.
We all tried and failed, Diz, so don't feel bad!

Welcome to California. There was a time, years and years ago, when men who didn't agree on every point of "outward standards" could fellowship each other in peace and love. Those days are apparently gone. Sad.

Yeah, I know, but I really hate all of the division, and you hope that occasionally you might be able to have a productive discussion. That is what is so funny to me, is that guy that started this thread said he wanted an honest discussion. Except he never did answer a very pointed question that I asked him.
Oh well, it's all good. I guess they are happy with the way things are, I just can't imagine living a world that small and judgmental.
You know my pastor said something yesterday that immediately made me think of NITW, he was quoting the scripture text that is being referenced by that screen-name.
His point was that the "narrowness of the way" was not going to allow some of our pride, arrogance and haughtiness of spirit to go through it. I somehow don't think that is interpretation that Bro. NITW is applying to that scripture.
