Sure. History Channel is one of our favorites. We also like watching HGTV. Another of my favorites is TRU TV. The wife likes Lifetime and Sci-Fi (I don't care for Sci-Fi). The girls like the cartoon channel. My oldest daughter has this thing for the TV Guide Channel (don't ask me why 'cause I really don't know). I also like watching BET, depending on what's on (not into music videos, but I like the comedy reruns). My son likes the Speed Channel (especially shows about classic hot rods). I also like reruns of Law & Order, so any channel showing those reruns I watch. Sometimes we also watch PBS (Austin City Limits, and sometimes other stuff if it catches my attention. My daughter and I watched a really good program on the destruction of Pompei and a nearby city recently). We also watch House of Payne on TBS. That's all I can think of right now.
Channels I don't like and avoid include Spike TV, MTV, The Comedy Channel (we will rarely watch a comedy on this channel, however), any of the shopping channels. That's about all I can think of.
As for news channels, I like MSNBC (Lockup and occasional other news programs),and FOX news. I don't watch CNN because it seems like every time I turn to that channel Nancy Grace is on and I absolutely can not stand her!

You cant control what's going to be on the next page once you turn the page in your local paper either. Many times in the newspaper you'll come across underwear ads showing scantily-clad men and women.
And even "family-friendly" websites like cnn.com, msnbc.com, etc sometimes will will have ads featuring bikini-clad models.
I guess based on that, some might say we should ban newspapers and the worldwide web too.

I want to be a christian...that is my goal in life...
I want to talk, think, act, dress and be a christian...most people don´t have any trouble telling you who a christian is.

Re: AFF apostolic or not?
The channels I have watched on TV have either no commercials or the commercials are not bad.
I also like the History Channel and National Geographic. One of my favorite shows is Dog Whisperer. I rarely watch TV at home. I don't own a TV myself but my roomies do and just about the only thing that is ever on is baseball, Wrestling (yuck) and the rest are weird game shows in spanish

Apostolic is defined on AFF as:
- There is One God. This one God reveals Himself distinctly as Father, Son and Holy Ghost.
- The Son is God himself in a human form or "God manifested in the flesh" (1Tim 3:16)
- Every sinner must repent of their sins.
- That Jesus name baptism is the only biblical mode of water baptism.
- That the Holy Ghost is for today and is received by faith with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues.
- The saint will go on to strive to live a holy life, pleasing to God.
