I am SO upset!!!!! Irrationally, maybe.
it might be one of those
"go to your rooms for your own protection" Moments.

Until they figure out you meant it the first time. Usually this involves being consistent with whatever punishment you promise them they will get after giving them the first verbal warning.

Remember the 8 puppies? Today they are poopy puppies. I went in to check on them a little bit ago...and ONE of them (haven't figured out which one) has diarrhea. YES, you read that right, DIARRRRRRRRRRHHHHHHHEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA AAAAAAAAAAAAAAGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!
Think about it. 1 puppy has it, all of them step in it, GAG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Okay, so I've bleached about everything possible, and I can STILL SMELL IT!
I put the puppies outside. *gag*
While washing the rugs, I sprayed their poopy feet down with the hose, not caring at all that it was COLD WATER!!!!
Now to the kids: My mother is gone on vacation. What does that have to do with the price of gold in China, you ask? Well, apparently my children are actually messy, messy, children, and my mother picks up after them all the time, and I just DO NOT NOTICE!!!
Because. MY HOUSE IS MESS!!! There are PILLOWS all OVER THE living room FLOOR. Here I thought we had a Grandma in the house, and apparently she is actually a live-in NANNY!!!
The middle bedroom, there are books everywhere, blankets everywhere, toys EVERY-WHERE!!!!!
My children, when asked to clean up the mess, are wandering around picking up one little thing here and there, looking confused, and asking me where to put it. OBVIOUSLY, I am going to have to clean this myself, but Equally Obviously, THEY need to learn how to put a few things away? How did I miss this glaring deficit in their upbringing?
My mother is going to have to STOP cleaning up. Period. When she gets back, there is going to be a talk about how grandchildren need to put away their own clothes and make their own beds. I am starting to suspect that maybe she was EVEN DOING THEIR CHORES!!!!
And I, I am exhausted, and feeling VERY cranky. I am a FAILURE as a mother and Foster Puppy Mom.
And it's making me feel better to temporarily blame my mother, so LEAVE ME ALONE!
Okay. Do you have any THOUGHTS? Maybe I need a or two.
Last night my son got into my wallet and threw everything around and started to chew on the credit cards......aaaaaaaarrrrrrrrgggggg!!!!!!!!

DON'T INTERROGATE ME!!!!!!!!
I don't know where I usually am. I know my mother does the laundry most of the time, but that's no problem--I have it all caught up.
Apparently she does a lot more than I actually notice. Shame on me, too.
We have a routine, I do the living room, dining room, kitchen and my bedroom, she usually does the laundry and middle bathroom, and the kids are supposed to be keeping up with their own chores. I see them working on things...sometimes...
MAYBE, they are just taking advantage of me, BUT, I'm trying to push that thought away until their father gets home.

My advice to all of you frustrated parents of young children would be to call your own parents and complain. That way they can give you the obligatory, "This is what you get for causing me so many problems when you were young" speech. I am sure it will make their day!
