To me this is a definite no since it is illegal. I would not even attend one of these parties.
Even if it was legal, I personally would not buy one. I would just feel silly carrying or wearing a "knock off".
I don't know why but these "purse parties" are taking me back to remembering people "in church" who were watching bootleg copies of The Passion because they didn't want to sin by going to the theatre.
Sometimes a lack of clear thinking in areas of ethics and the law makes me shake my head.
