This type of thing is the very reason I will not listen to Chuck Swindoll. It was one of his comments on the radio and he spoke against Oneness Pentecostals. I used to listen and like his stuff till that day. Never again will I listen.
But it goes both ways. If you are going to make fun of someone then I am done listening to you. There are ways of saying what you mean without making fun or putting them down.

Just saying... at that moment I would much rather have been a Trinitarian!

I'm not sure of that. They do the same thing to us.

I know some do.
I just know I did NOT want to identify with the message from the pulpit or the man. I felt the need to distance myself... however short-lived the feeling. It is simply appalling.

Re: Its just not right
One can have the right belief but the wrong attitude to go with it.
I think in instances like this that is the case.
Attitude in preaching, prayer, witnessing, and just living speaks volumes.
If our true intent is to reach people for Christ with truth it will be done in an attitude of love and reaching, not mockery and ridicule.
As I have said ad naseum it seems many modern day Pentecostals pattern themselves after Old Testament prophets and judges rather than the ministry of Jesus and the New Covenant.

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.
"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.
"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."

Re: Its just not right
I think that name calling goes both ways but I don´t want to be a part of stuff like that. I am glad for the Shema and all the wonderful knowledge God has blessed us with but it was never given to blast someone else...
and I am off to prayermeeting...

Re: Its just not right
The only thing believing in one God proves is that we are at least as smart as devils. Demons wet their britches when they think about the One God.
Powerup just brought another example of the religious superiority that has infected the organization.
I know some trinitarians who can pray fire down from heaven while their oneness counterparts couldn't pray for deliverance from an ingrown tonail.

But, then he starts making fun of others who believe in the trinity. Making jokes, like God said come here Jesus, and Jesus said, yes father. But said it all in a very cocky way. Making fun way.
Tacky, Tacky, Tacky, and more Tacky.
Come on. Its just not right!!!!
And trust me. We know we don't have any room to be making fun.
Lets use a little wisdom. Campmeeting or Not.
