From what I understand, they have been in their new building for 4 years, but recently paid it off. It was a 24 million dollar building paid off in 4 years.
I just cannot figure out why people on this forum have a problem with how other people spend their money! It is usually the Charismatic Crowd that everyone slams for having money but now its an Apostolic Church!
I have said for years - The OP's can't get along with those who are not OP cause they sure can't get along with the ones that believe just like them!
What a shame and a reproach to the Name of Jesus Christ and all that Jesus and His Apostles preached.
God bless Brother Holmes and those that gave to build and beautify the House of the Lord!

Then pray for me. I need it.
When I read of things like this, I need relief that neither an Alkaseltzer or a dose of peptobismol can't help.
They also built a $300,000 childrens orphanage in India and continue to support it and Missions in 18 countries around the world, does that make you nauseous? OR JEALOUS????????????

Those that sit on the sidelines and do nothing - complain the most!
This is a GREAT POST!
Everyone always sees the Millions spent on building and never see the sacrifices that Churches and Pastors make to minister to the needs of people around the world.
God bless Brother Holmes and all those that are helping hopeless humanity.
I do not subscribe to his doctrine or his interpretation of the Holy Scriptures but I do honor them for the work that they have done to bring the Word of God to people and to help people.

Bro. I don't have a problem with them spending money, I have a problem with the inconsistent doctrine.
Conservatism is what they preach, it's not what they practice. It's selective conservatism. Hair, makeup, splits, video, etc. However, moderation is clearly not exampled.
I've always found it amusing that conservative OP's can preach against whatever they want and drive Mercedes, 15K Rolex, live in high $$ houses and spend $2500 for a suit and $500.00 for alligator shoes.
How many homeless in Little Rock? Are they feeding the poor out of that 24 Million $ kitchen? How many African Americans go there? Do they give scholarships to the children?
I'm not against a nice building, I am against selective conservatism. Seems a tad bit inconsistent that's all.

I wholeheartedly agree with these statements and have ended up debating with many people about that. I do not know this church personally so I am not talking about them spedifically, but I do know of other examples where this just jumps out at you.

Inconsistent? You do not know Bro. Holmes, so therefore you should not be putting him in the same boat as others you might have known.
I want to respond to what I can remember of your post. Bro. Holmes is the most humblest man I have ever met. He does not dress flashly, refuses to wear a rolex, and would not let others buy him a nice car. He drives his mothers old suv that has been wrecked... soooooo.......
Yes, they have three houses that people in the church have donated, to house the homeless, two for females and one for males. Yes, they feed the poor every week! Those that attend church there and also it is open to the public. There are several African Americans who attend there and have for years.(They actively participate, ushers, the church office, song leaders, musicians, scripture readers) WOW! IMAGINE THAT! They also have a large hispanic presence. And bring in about 100 children from the wrong side of town every sunday and have church with them and feed them!
As to the scholarhips, they've been doing that for years! Supporting upwards of 30 at a time. They also go in the red over 100,000 a year providing christian education for those who can not afford it.
