LOL! I think I sense a li't bit of sarcasm. However, here is the truth.
The increase in oil production gained from drilling in ANWR is maybe 3%, liberal guess. We wouldn't see that increase for at least 7 years, more like 10 years;
More oil would help, but the amount that we would get from drilling in ANWR or near the Florida Everglades is not enough to help significantly.
The current suggestions are akin to slapping a band aid on a gangrenous wound.
Decrease our absolute need for oil by investing to perfect the technology for alternative fuel sources that are already at our finger tips.
Wind power to produce electricity and hydrogen cells to propel cars are two ides that can revolutionize our country's way of life. We can definitely reap the fruit of our labor quicker than 7 years if we invest in these two areas now.
These two technologies are also significantly cleaner technologies, thus improving the over all air quality in our country by reducing pollution.
