I have asked for proof that a measure of faith produces a better outcome. All I'm getting is 'Jesus said it, argue with Him', yet there is no scripture showing that measurable faith, other than having a mustard seed grain worth, gets better results.
You seem to be arguing against there being any sort of degrees of faith. We're trying to point out that there are. When Jesus said He hadn't found so great faith, He was acknowledging that this person's faith was greater than all the faith He had found in Israel. Any way one tries to define "greater" will lead to more faith than others had. I don't think He was trying to say this person was better than everyone else, but He was certainly acknowledging the uniqueness of that person's faith.
In addition, I'm not convinced that the 'great faith' mentioned is speaking of a measurable faith, although it could be. To me, it's like telling someone you had 'a great time'. It's not measurable terms.

Maybe a study on the word used for "great" would shed more light on what He meant. I will fire up my Bible program and see if there's anything I can find on this setting of scripture.
