... then we have tried to help our neighbors for no reason.
... we have comforted those who mourn for no reason.
... we have attended church, supported efforts to feed the hungry, and clothed the poor...for no reason.
... we have lived as morally straight as we know how, for no reason.
... we have encouraged those who were down, prayed for those who have drifted, and taught our kids to be honest and truthful...for no reason.
...we tried to let our light shine so others would see our good works, not to get saved, but because we are saved, so others would see those good works and glorfy God ....for no reason.
...we've done what we can to make our community better, our town better, and our world better for no reason.
...we've stood up for what is right, stood against what is wrong, we defended the oppressed, and we sacrificed to save others, for no reason.
If there is no God, then we have patterned our lives after a mystical, maybe imaginary, Figure named Jesus, who, it is said, "went about doing good" for no reason.
And, if there was no God and no heaven, then we did all that for no reason.
But wait, we helped, we feed, we clothed, we gave,... in order to do good and to make our little part of the world a little better.. So, I guess there is a reason for it all afterall!

Without God how do you know that what you did was 'good'? Why are the things you named 'good'?
