Dark Blue/Navy Suit With What Colored Shoes?

My question is for the brothers who express an eye for style.

Did you come by it naturally or is it a result of influence from a wife, mother, or sister?

I'll probably wear lavender, blue and burgundy colored shirts with it. I was given options such as dark brown, brown, navy, or burgundy shoes. Other stated Black is okay and others stated brown was a NO NO.......(sigh)

I grew up very poor so style and fashion were concepts that I was oblivious to.

I remember being in eighth grade walking down the hall when the concept of "matching" finally hit me. Ahhhhh, purple jean shorts and a red tee shirt does look pretty awful together.

After that, I just really became obsessed with it to some extent. I was very monochromatic for about a year not knowing what colors went with what. Then I started buying outfits from catalogs. I just bought the exact suit, shirt, and tie the guy in the Penny's catalog was wearing. I was actually still pretty awful, but then at 17 I got a job with the Men's Wearhouse. That's where I really learned what I was doing.

The color of the shoes would depend on the belt.
