I use "encompassing" to describe what He does for us. Not that I can "encompass" Him.
I'm thinking of
Psalm 121 when it uses the word "preserve" and "keeper". Both words mean "hedge about as with thorns".
That is what God is to me - my Keeper, my Preserver.
