Part of the article has a quote in it here it is--quoting Anthea Butler, an expert in pentecostalism from University of Rochester, in NY state, "The pastor's not gonna say 'go down to Wachovia and get a loan' but I have heard, 'even if you have a poor credit rating God can still bless you — if you put some faith out there [that is, make a big donation to the church], you'll get that house, or that car or that apartment.'"

Another part of the article says this--"Although a type of Pentecostalism, Prosperity theology adds a distinctive layer of supernatural positive thinking. Adherents will reap rewards if they prove their faith to God by contributing heavily to their churches, remaining mentally and verbally upbeat, and concentrating on divine promises of worldly bounty supposedly strewn throughout the bible."

To me this is dead on in more than just money. This is a very accurate statement that came be used to describe lots of what we are taught. Once we are saved now we must prove to God our faith in Him by doing a number of things. Some of which dare I say most of which is not biblical.

All I need to know about the "prosperity gospel" I learned when I realized that those who PREACH it are the ones who get rich. I actually know a minister who said that the "prosperity gospel" was where the money was.

There is FAR more to prosperity than giving even though I believe giving is important.

I'll give anyone here a FREE infallible key to prosperity........................................ .....................................

Spend less than you make!!!! And faithfully put a little aside.

Works every time!
