Sis, does your son know of any other robberies that were done at "The Preserve?" The attitude of the B.A.H. strikes me as odd. Her response sounds pretty lame. I mean, it's not like they had a pipe break under the sink and the apartment flooded. This was a burglary, and therefore you would think the office manager would have a little more concern about the incident.
Because of the office manager's pathetic response my suspicions would be focused on her. I would be curious to know how many burglaries does she know about? Also how long have they been happening while she has been holding her manger position? Stranger things have been known to happen.
She might be totally innocent and just shows no apathy for anyone.
Still, she may know when people are home, and their apartments are easy marks for burglaries.

She wasn't the manager - the manager wasn't there. She was just one of those cuties that work in the leasing office. My DIL said, so if someone was murdered during one of those robberies would you still say "that suc*s"? It did put her in her place a bit, but she didn't really act real concerned.
The office is aware of all the other break-ins and several cars have been broken into too. My son asked if they were going to make everyone in the complexes aware and they said no.
At my apts. a couple of weeks ago someone was broken into and the office wrote a letter and delievered to every apt. to make everyone aware with reminders/tips. I thought it was very responsible of them to do so.

The house in Collierville that my son and DIL put a contract on is perfect for them. I was able to go see it with them today.
Just found out about an hour ago that they sellers accepted the contract. They are getting it for a good price and will be moving in a couple weeks. The house was only on the market a few days and the sellers got a transfer and have to be in their new city by the middle of Nov., so all has worked out for both these families!
The kids are so happy!

Yes, it is!
I believe the location of their complex is advantageous for break-ins. They are brand new (less than six months old), but there is nothing around them excepts woods and a four-lane by-pass is right next to them. So easy access to leave fast and be gone and back in Memphis in no time.

They are close to me now, but the house is in Collierville. It's only 15 mins. away, so that's not bad at all.
She's been looking at houses for a couple weeks and found this on Wed. and fell in love with it. Geron saw it Thurs and liked it too - both had already decided to make an offer before they were broken into. I'm glad it happened before so it's not a quick decision based on emotion of just wanting a house to get out of the apt.
It just worked out perfectly!
