Yes, I went to the doctor and had one shot a week for 5 years. It build up my resistance to the dust mite.

Wow! I've thought of doing that, but I don't have an allergist here. I would have to drive to the next town over....that would be a very long time to do that.....

Re: How to Save Money

It was worth it for me. I lost my voice at least twice a year from allergies, and had several sinus infections during the year- The shots do not work for everyone- I don't know if they still do them- but I think so. I had them in the late 70's to the mid 80's. Insurance covered them. They vastly improved my quality of life and cut my serious allergic reactions at least in half. I did talk my doctor into giving me a month of the shots and I had a neighbor nurse give them to me. That saved me from going to the office every week. Of course that was before the days of people suing at the drop of a hat.

Yes, it sounds like something you needed. I will keep it in mind for the future.

I layed on the bed and grunted answers while he sat at the desk and read stuff. He apologized for dropping that on me. He said he forgot. I was ready to kill him at first, but it wasn't as bad as it seemed, getting it done.
