My grandma had those glasses. They were the best things in the world to use for cold, cold iced tea! We kids had to drink ours with 3/4 glass of milk and 1/4 glass of tea. Then I always added 2 spoons of sugar to mine.
I think my mom let me drink that because it was the ONLY way she could get milk in me. I hate milk!! I still don't drink it - EVER.

Margie,
I couldn't imagine ever NOT drinking milk. I've had a glass of milk every day ALL of my life! My husband doesn't drink milk very often either. I love water and milk!!!

My sister is the same as you. She makes up for both of us. She'll drink milk with every meal. It literally gags me tho. And if I do drink some (sometimes I'll drink a little chocolate milk), I pay for it later. My stomach hurts soooooo bad!!
Ice cream doesn't do that to me tho. Isn't that strange? Cheese isn't really a good thing for me to eat either, but I do it anyway cuz I love it.
My mom says that even as a baby, I would not take milk. I also would never eat mashed potatoes or peas. And I still don't. I guess once I made my mind up, it was made up forever

Sometimes I drink milk for my dinner. I love it!!!!
I'm sorry you can't tolerate it. I have found that I really like organic milk much better, although, Borden's is an excellent company.

Re: I Remember When...
We went to see "The Boy in the Striped Pajamas" yesterday (go see it if you get the chance. But takes tissues)
I was thinking about this thread all the way thru the movie because one of the things one of the little boys does is spread his arms, make engine noises and fly around the yard. Up and down, jump up on something and fly off, on and on.
I was thinking how I remember how we could entertain ourselves for hours without any toys at all just by becoming air planes. Or holding onto each others waists and playing choo-choo. Or leap frog - remember leap frog?
One of my favorite ways to spend a beautiful summer afternoon was laying flat on my back on the grass and looking up at the clouds and telling each other what we saw in the clouds - bunnies, jet planes, dragons.............

LOL! We've never had to worry about fireants up here in Ohio In fact, I didn't even know there was such a thing until we visited my aunt and her family in Fairhope, Alabama.
