This is true,
Although a mother when she is expecting a child can overeat with some residual problems- but the fetus will remain normal-
But a mother who expecting who drinks alcohol can damage the fetus with fetal alcohol syndrome which there is no cure for but is %100 preventable.

That's NOT what he was saying. It's the same ploy that conservatives use all the time, "If you don't believe THIS ONE THING, you must not believe anything".

I didn't speak for 99% of the forum. Said "I think", which implies it is my opinion that most are not proponents of boozing. Then again, maybe I'm wrong. People who stand for nothing fall for anything. I just choose to believe there are still many people that will stand for something, despite the criticism. It's easier to not stand for anything and criticize those that have a position.
My intepretation of what St Mark was saying is just as valid as yours, whether you choose to believe it or not. Ploy? You swear there's a vast right wing conspiracy. Careful that lunancy doesn't sink in.

Wow, that leaves a lot of room.

Re: May I smoke here??!
So, let me ask a question of the pastors on this thread - do you preach against smoking?
Do you make it a heaven or hell issue?
And, if you do, what scripture do you use?

We can have this discussion on another thread, let's not sidetrack from the original issue.

Now THAT sounds like living by the letter of the law and not the spirit. Spirit gives permission to hedge convictions for your family, to protect them. I would never call my Dad a liar because he kept me from some thing that were not explicit in scripture. A loving dad does that. He's consistent with Scripture in spirit.
