I believe that five or six years ago, Apostolics were new to open discussion on forums and the different segments were more tolerant and enjoyed the banter back and forth.
Over time, the conservative segment became less tolerant of questioning of things they hold dear. After hearing the same arguments over and over and over again, they retreated back to just surrounding themselves with folks of like faith (standards).
I have found it nearly impossible to get an Ultra-Con to communicate as if we are all on equal spiritual footing. (Sis. Alvear and a few others are the exception) They simply feel that they are spiritually superior.
Jimmy Yohe himself couldn't have prevented the natural separation of the differing segments of the Apostolic faith. It appears that the dream has almost died!

I agree with this somewhat. People being people and everyone thinking they are right.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with someone thinking they are right. That is what opinions are. The problem arises when someone says that you're going to hell because your opinion is not my opinion and my opinion just happens to be THE bible opinion because I say it does!
Spiritual "Jihadists" abound in almost every denomination. I think it's akin to what is called "Manifest Destiny." The term was coined by John O'Sullivan in about 1845 to describe the U.S's expansion into the West. It also became the "doctrine" of expansion overseas as well. Once a person or a group embraces "Manifest Destiny" as their mantra, either expressed or implied, no holds are barred in furthering their cause, seeing themselves as the "Sword of God."
It is the thinking behind all the holy wars, which sadly, haven't ceased in our day.

I'm sure there are some things he would do differently, but even FCF would have morphed after a while. Forums seem to do that.
And no matter how they morph, some folks are not going to be comfortable with what it morphs into. Such is life. Change is inevitable....misery is optional!

But when you HAVE to be right all the time, something is very wrong. I have had opinions changed because I read or listen. Not my belief's, just opinions.
I think some think if they agree with the other side about anything, it changes their belief system. And I guess that is scary to them.
