(Although I have been putting things in her food to try and figure out what caused it. So far I have been able to eliminate peanuts, cashews, shellfish, cat dander and rat poison. Will keep posted)

Bro Griffin, I am so thankful it wasn't worse than it could have been!
Yes, we have to remember we are pilgrims & strangers in this world & that we seek a City whose builder & maker is God!
Praying for you both!
God is good!

Within minutes I received another call, paramedics had arrived at her work, given her a shot of Benadryl, started an IV and decided to transport when her blood pressure was so low they could not get a reading.
After finding out which hospital she was being taken to, I immediately headed that way.
By the time I got there her tongue was still so swollen speech was impossible, but she had stabilized, following even more Benadryl and steroids.
It is obvious she was in the beginning stages of anaphylactic shock, the time elapsed between first symptoms and total incapacity was less than five minutes.
But for the prayer, and quick arrival of the paramedics I have no doubt she would have died.
She was fine this morning although we are concerned that the trigger still remains a total mystery.
I was shook to the core when reminded how any of our lives could be taken in a matter of minutes or devastated in the same amount of time due to the loss of a loved one.
Maybe it is because of that mindset. Maybe I would feel that way anyway. But glancing around here today, seeing what people I care about are doing to each other. So unnecessary.

Brother Griffin, did they tell you what caused the problem?
You and your family will be in our prayers.

I'm glad there haven't been any more reactions! I really, really hope y'all can figure it out without another one... I don't suppose seeing an allergist is an option right now, is it?

Jim, So glad Deb is all right. I know it was frightening for all of you. I prayed when a friend brought it to my attention. I had a similar reaction to Levaquin this year and had to call the EMT's. Jehoveh Rophe looks out for all His children, doesn't He?
Love to your whole family, Rhoni
